About Me:
Hello, I am Dan.
I’ve been developing training over 10 years — working both independently and as a part of cross-functional teams.
My expertise is in instructional design as a whole, but I pride myself on my ability to leverage a multitude of tools to create an experience that is tailored to the specific learning need. My goal is to design and develop a solution that has the learner in mind; to produce results that can be backed by data.
My career has taken twists and turns: beginning at sea working on oceanographic research vessels, to bustling newsrooms, and now to learning and development. I feel this diverse background gives me a broad perspective on the world, on people, and on keeping and open mind to different subject matter.
I love what I do, because:
I have the opportunity to help others learn and grow in what we are teaching.
Instructional design provides the ability to connect with all kinds of people to harness their subject matter expertise.
I learn something new with every project I am a part of.
I find peace in jogging outside and being at the gym, playing guitar and spending time with my kids.
