About Me:

Hello, I am Dan.

I’ve been developing training over 10 years — working both independently and as a part of cross-functional teams.

My expertise is in instructional design as a whole, but I pride myself on my ability to leverage a multitude of tools to create an experience that is tailored to the specific learning need. My goal is to design and develop a solution that has the learner in mind; to produce results that can be backed by data.

My career has taken twists and turns: beginning at sea working on oceanographic research vessels, to bustling newsrooms, and now to learning and development. I feel this diverse background gives me a broad perspective on the world, on people, and on keeping and open mind to different subject matter.

I love what I do, because:

  • I have the opportunity to help others learn and grow in what we are teaching.

  • Instructional design provides the ability to connect with all kinds of people to harness their subject matter expertise.

  • I learn something new with every project I am a part of.

I find peace in jogging outside and being at the gym, playing guitar and spending time with my kids.
